Axworthy Health and RecPlex now open
The Axworthy Health and RecPlex, including the RecPlex parkade, is now fully open and operational.
While the wildfire situation remains devastating for many, more hotel accommodations have become available, and some evacuees have been able to return home. As the number of people staying at shelters decreases, emergency response organizers have consolidated locations to better focus stretched supports. As a result, the use of the Axworthy Health and RecPlex is no longer being used as an emergency shelter.
